Wedding Poker Chips

Me and my husband were married in July and have a wedding theme of poker. Each painting is named after a poker hand with cards giant as the marker table, with royal flush is the table of honor. the bridesmaids are in black and red flower and white. poker chips as favors and the cake will be too in poker. just really ask people opinions?

The main question I was .... Is it because you both are in poker? If you're both poker players and it's a big part of your life, and will be a big part of your life together so I say go for it! If it is something that really you, you may want to pick something a little more traditional, or just reduce it.

Friends and family that knowledge is something you share and a large part of your personality should thinks it appropriate. There will be those attending that may think it is strange, but it's your wedding, not theirs.

Invision yourself on your 10th, 20th, 50th Wedding Anniversary watching your wedding photos. Do you think you'll look back and smile because of the theme, or go "What the hell am I thinking?" It really does not matter if you think that poker is a part of your life forever or not, it depends on your personality and your mind .... If poker is fading from your life, you are always going to smile to yourself that you had a beautiful wedding with the man you love?

Sorry to be a Sourpuss about it, but the theme of marriage as "I like love and marriage. My thought is that they have the rest of their life to have poker parties, roaring twenties parties, gone with the wind parts, but only one day of marriage which have a themed wedding party . Since you ask me, I think the theme of poker for a wedding is tacky. Weddings should be about true love and people united in marriage, no game or play games. I think this theme would detract from the wedding. It's good for other occasions as a birthday theme.

Ok well if you ask me ... I think that is sooo tacky. Unless you go for the cheese Vegas, it sounds terrible. Themed wedding are lame anyway, but a poker themed wedding? Come tell me it's a joke.
