Seven Card Stud Low Is it really unacceptable to do in a poker game? I play poker with my dad and his friends, who are obviously much older than me (I'm 35, they are mid-60s). It calls for the same game Over and Over and over. We do not even drink beer. Thus, out of boredom, I called a new twist to his "seven card stud, ride, wild card into the lowest low, hold Chicago" and I said the same game, except instead of rolling your Similarly, I said we were going to drive our neighbors. (Meaning every turn of your neighbor is reaching down and pick you up one card and that could drive up goof nature or the Chicago Low " They acted like I was an idiot and refused to play. Well all my friends poker would have laughed their asses off and played, but again ..... they are generally half lit. Is this really unacceptable, or that people call games like this all the time to mix and they are delayed? if the dealers choice is a good game! I want to play. When we run this, and someone at the table do not like the game, tell them they must ante and only once after receiving their cards. Depends on the group I play with guys that all calls dealer is what you play ... if they think it's a game BS or do not understand that they have the option of sitting on this round. We usually say "house rules", while the host has the right to dictate what games may or may not be played. Sounds like it is unacceptable in your group. In my experience, there are two types of home games: games with low stakes games where deserts, burn games, etc. are called, and the more straight forward, a casino-type games rules , where the stakes are generally higher than nickel, dime, quarter. I would be surprised if the guys you play with most are not opposed to your twist on the game tell me if this is what you want to play, the game's host your site with your friends and beer. If old guys are, they agree to play your games. Posted on February 2, 2010.
