Golf Poker Chips

Your perfect golf vacation with your friends starts and stops with you. Combine brochures vacation packages in a heap and design your own golf getaway. This is the last of four articles to help provide an outlet for you and your friends who make you want to do this every year (as we have for 19 years running).

Since the last article, you are now at least a point per month. So far you have rallied the troops, took the date, select the accommodation and golf courses and are in final preparation. You will soon see your friends smiling faces at the baggage claim at the airport. The final preparations and proper functioning of the whole show is a breeze. The hardest part of becoming your friends to buy tickets to enjoy the event. Here are some things you want to do before the cry of the aircraft tires on the tarmac.

Transportation. The limiting factor is arrival and departure airport due to clubs and bags. If you can easily manage all your commands in just the vehicles at this point, the rest of the week is gravy. From your experience, you know that when you pack four guys to go golfing locally, you will have to fill the trunk of a car full size. In this spirit, you should plan on a full size car for three people. We use one minivan / SUV augmented with cars for our adventures. Be sure to allow the limiting case.

You need to organize these rental vehicles ahead, but you can drive yourself. Here less than a month required. When you understand your vehicle needs, contact the group to organize them and you who will contact you and let other vehicles. There will probably members of your group who have revived and can score a great rate. Hash this one out by e-mail.

Entertainment. Unless you go to the deserts of Arizona or get very lucky, you'll have a rainy day or two. You will also have a lot of time at night after golf (after you've said all your lies). We suck up to that point very effectively by looking at the golf channel, ESPN, playing cards, or watching videos. This is what you can ask in advance. We have a guy who is very good at selecting movies to watch and we task him to bring with him. Movies like "Gladiator," "Miracle", etc. are great. More daring "titles are optional. The days of heavy rain, we also spent bowling (owl), makes the local cinema, and have visited the region.

Checklists. After ten years of being asked twenty times a day when we play next, or when we had to leave, or what was for supper, or who stole my teddy bear, I finally started typing on these things. I make a copy of each message and sporadically throughout the house. Me make individual laminated cards and hand to each golfer. You know what? It reduced the questions to half and now when asked, I say I do not remember, allow me to walk on the fridge and read it to you. Here are the things that I prepare in advance:

List of courses, tee times, phone number, of course, and time of departure. I start time based on MapBlast directions and factor in a decision of the ice for the coolers and if we need to hit balls range.
Sample menu for dinner. If this is your first time, to preserve the simplicity of the menu and make sure that the revenue in hand. With a group size, you'll have a head or two and it will not be a big deal.
Multiple copies of the order sheet "for sandwiches. For most of our lunch between rounds, we dine on our self-prepared sandwiches prepared the night before.
