Some tips to stop gambling (roulette machines in particular)? Hey. Ive had a gambling problem for almost 10 years, ranging from slot machines that I managed to stop for nearly 3 years. 3 years ago I became addicted to slot machines roulette bookmakers that again, I managed to kick in for 6 months. Recently, in a couple weeks, I started again. Im not looking for platitudes or "take one day at a time" counselor. Im looking for tips hope people who have experienced something similar. Thank you in advance for any help or advice given
You need a light bulb moment. The moment it goes into your head and tells you what you are doing is ridiculous, and if you do not stop, you lose the house, quickly followed by your wife and children.
Mine was £ 15k down, and still believe I could get him back, from £ 1k on Liverpool to win the FA Cup final in normal times against West Ham in 2006. He went to extra time and pens, so I lost. The bulb exploded. It came to me when I was not good enough to make money betting on football. The victories of 4 or 500 quid I had along the way made me feel good, like winning a £ 100 quid on a fruit machine or roulette. I masked it costs 4 times that amount to get there cos I felt very much at the time.
Leave your credit card at home, have everything in your pocket you need for the day. You'll soon KicKing your car to be hungry cos you spent your lunch money on a FOBT. Or you can not take a cup of tea when you come in, because you had no money for milk on the way home.
Promise your wife and kids, you go out somewhere when you think you can go to the bookies. Think of the disappointment on the faces of children and the wrath of your wife that you let them down by spunking all your dough on a machine that does not even need your playing ability.
If you do this for the trip after day, continues to think even if others are happy to get out. Not that you prefer to be in Ladbrooke.
Whenever you put a smile on your face families, you'll win a mate.
Good luck, and call or visit GamCare. They are trained for this, I am not, I know how it feels.
ask the shops of Paris that you use to prevent.
