gambling odds explained, for dummies? Hello, I have a basic understanding of game ratings. Can anyone tell me if this is correct:
Odds: 9 / 2 (or 5.5) [I 9 divided by 2 plus 1)
Bet: £ 100
Win: £ 550
Odds: 9 / 13 (1.69) [9 / 13 = 0.69, 1]
Bet: £ 50
Win: £ 84.50
Odds: 50 / 1 (51.0)
Bet: £ 25
Win: £ 1,250
Is this correct? Is there anything else I should know?

just a little, you must have your chance simplified so that it would be 4.5 to 1 for your payment. Try not to include your game with your winnings you do in your first two examples, but not in your third.
