Causes Of Gambling Addiction

Causes Of Gambling Addiction Gambling Addiction Help - How to stop playing in 60 days

Some roll a dice, spin the roulette wheel, pull the lever of a slot machine, or shuffle the cards is a fun getaway opportunity. However, for others it becomes a normal stress (gambling) who destroyed their family life, finances, and career!

Over the past ten years, sixty thousand dollar question was, what causes gambling addiction? Is this a disease? Is it caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain? Well, the theorists of the common illness would have you believe he is, but I would! Firstly, there is no test to diagnose disease of a chemical imbalance. In fact, there is no empirical evidence to demonstrate that it exists. It is purely hypothetical and subjective to each clinician. And besides, the very notion that a disease based on the theory of co-dependency that could be applied to behavior as a compulsive gambling addiction is absurd. Theorists would have us believe that disease the chemical in the lever of a slot machine addicts to a person of your game? Or would they have us believe that a chemical in a card game to play seeps through the fingers and traps in a desperate life for thrills? I do not know about you, but I'm not buying it!

So what exactly is the cause of a gambling addiction? Unlike drugs or alcohol, the game is obviously a constraint rather than substance. And despite the stark contrast between substance abuse and habitual compulsions, the basis of addiction is the same one. As with any addiction, a compulsion generally makes people feel better or happier, and it diverts them from their emotional pain. For those who usually play, not substance, but the feeling of power, fun to win, or the excitement of high stakes and the chance that diverts them from their emotional pain. However, the thrill of victory quickly turned the agony of defeat when the eyes of snake show, or they bust blackjack and inevitably reach a point of financial disaster!

However, at this stage, you might ask the causes of emotional distress that leads to addiction. Well, experience has taught me that the root cause of each addiction is the emotional trauma caused by family dysfunction. In fact, as coach of detox, I've never seen a case that is not anchored in the habits of verbal abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse, parental control, parenting part-time or abuse of drugs and alcohol. So take a moment for self-reflection. What emotional issues you try to distract you? Have you been abused, controlled or unloved? What are you failing to change or take charge in your life? These are questions that need answering. Would you change your life? Want to pull up by the tie and move on? No matter what others say or what you can say, you have the power to make choices!

Here's what you should do

  1. Making a decision here and now do whatever it takes to meet your emotional problems and change your life.
  2. Turn your finances to a family member or trusted friend. Someone who can pay your bills and buy necessities. Set a date, in writing, preferably 60-90 days they turn the reins back to you, provided that if you do not stop playing or you come back, they will not!
  3. Discovering and dealing with the root cause of your gambling (Dysfunctional Family)
  4. Re-discover you through self-reflection.
  5. Be ready to change your lifestyle and your friends.

Sincerely,

David Roppo
