Baseball Gambling Lines The use of steroids and gambling are the same in all sports, especially baseball and let me tell you why, if you? do not agree tell me why a thoughtful response. The reason I believe that the use of steroids is similar to the game because they are necessarily the same thing, let me explain. Suppose you're a player or a manager, and you call your bookie to place a bet on a game MLB. Say, for instance, you bet on Red Sox / Yankee game, and you take the most for a penny, meaning you bet $ 1,000 dollars on the game and you take the total points scored in Las Vegas sets lines. Let's say the over / under for this game is 9 1 / 2 works. This means that if the combined total is 10 or more, you win. Ok, this is where the argument is that the use of steroids by players ballplay is just as bad as Paris on a match, especially the most. Because if some Red Sox players like Manny, Ortiz, etc and some of the Yankees as Giambi, Rodriguez, etc. are juice (steroids) are more likely to reach more home runs, and inevitably over-inflate the total points scored Mr. MMK If you try to make an excuse for Pete Rose, so that does not cut it. yes, they are the same in any sport, especially baseball. Oh wait, that dosnt sense! then they are the same, but baseball is not the same thing? ok nope this is not the man .... I understand your point, but they are not the same. Although steroids are currently giving baseball a big black eye, a man who cheated to break a record, or others seeking to improve performance there is not the same as the fixing of games. I do think Vegas takes account of alleged steroid users when setting their lines as another factor, as with pitch, field house, etc. But remember the Red Sox 1919 Black? 8 players conspired to throw the World Series, and yes, the players do not get rich, but that caused more distrust among fans of the game itself, rather than to cheat a person. The gambling problem is much more serious. Posted on August 3, 2010.
